Bauchi State University Gadau has held its Maiden Combined Convocation Ceremony fourteen years after its establishment.
The ceremony which held at the university’s main campus in Gadau the Itas Gadau Local Government Area of Bauchi state with the award of honorary doctorate degree to Governor Bala Mohammed As he Challenged the institution to come up with self reliant and human empowerment courses for economic growth and development of the state and beyond.
The convocation ceremony was held at the state university’s main campus Gadau the Itas Gadau Local Government Area of Bauchi State North East Nigeria.
Established in 2009, Bauchi State University with its headquarters in Gadau the Itas Gadau Local Government Area of Bauchi state conducted its Maiden Combined first to sixth Convocation Ceremony fourteen years after its establishment.
The said colourful ceremony was observed with the investiture of Emir of Bauchi Rulwanu Sulaiman as chancellor as well as awards of Doctorate Degree To the State Governor Bala Mohammed among other worthy individuals by the institution.
The Vice chancellor of the state university professor Fatima Tahir acknowledged the Immense contribution of relevant stakeholders to the development of the institution Calling on the governor to improve on the university support due the economic hardship experience in the country.
While Congratulating the graduants as well as appreciating the university’s management over the award given to him Governor Bala Mohammed assured of his unflinching support to the success of the institution for better learning and conducive environment.
As the world moves towards information technology Governor Bala Mohammed challenged the university to come up with related courses that are geared towards developing self reliance and economic development of the teeming populace.
He commended the management of the institution for the maintenance of peace and security of the institution and students thereby assuring his administration’s continues support.
The maiden Combined Convocation Ceremony had over seven thousand graduates across the various courses offered at the institution.
