The Bayelsa State Government, has reaffirmed its commitment to the judicious utilisation of the available resources for the development of the state.


Governor Douye Diri made the pledge at a public interactive session of critical players for the preparation of the 2022 annual budget of the state, in Yenagoa.

Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo who spoke on behalf of the Governor said that the public interactive session of budget is in compliance with section 22 (2) of the fiscal responsibility Law of 2009 as amended.
Designed to engender accountability, the event witnessed critical actors who highlighted areas that should be captured in the budget.
Participants also pointed out their various areas of concern that need improvement and clarity.
The collation of ideas and inputs from Bayelsans is expected to ensure accountability and transparency in governance.
