Bayelsa Queens Beat Remo Stars Ladies 3-1 In NWFL Match

Bayelsa Queens are inching closer to securing a Super Six qualification, following Wednesday’s 3 -1 home victory over Remo Stars Ladies of Ikenne.

Bayelsa Queens Team Technical Adviser, Domo Okara told ait.live after the match that the Prosperity girls will sustain the winning momentum for the next three games to round off the regular season.

Bayelsa Queens came into the match against Remo Stars Ladies of Ikenne as the leading team in the Group B table of the Nigeria Women Football League.

Chinyere Igboamalu scored the first goal of the match in 25 minutes into the first half.

In the second half, an error from Goalkeeper Oyinye Okeke in the 58th minutes paved way for Vincent Precious to draw level for the visiting team.

Nine minutes later, substitute Moshood Shakirat restored the lead for the home team with a close range finish.

Bayelsa Queens put the game to bed in the 70th minutesl through Mary Aderemi’s long range shot that ended the match, 3-1 in favor of the Yenagoa based team.

Bayelsa Queens’ next match will be against Delta Queens of Asaba on Wednesday, the 3rd of April, 2024.
