The Bayelsa State Executive Council has given approval for the construction of the Nembe-Brass Federal Road in Bayelsa East Senatorial District in South-South Nigeria.
This was made known at a joint media briefing after the 70th session of the State Executive Council meeting in Government House, Yenagoa.
Commissioner for Information, Ayuba Duba, during the briefing said construction of the Nembe-Brass Federal Road will be in three sections. The first phase which covers 21 kilometres, comprises 10-bridges, and will start from Nembe to saint Nicolas River.
The State Government also disclosed that all expenses on the road which is a Federal Government project were being handled by the State Government as efforts to partner with the Nigerian Agip Oil Company has failed.
Meanwhile, the ground breaking ceremony of the road project is expected to take place early next month.
