The Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United FC of Yenagoa, South-South Nigeria, Diepriye Teibowei says, he is rebuilding his team after five key players left the Aiteo Cup Champions for greener pastures.

The Coach, gave this assurance on Sunday after Bayelsa United defeated FC One Rocket of Akwa -Ibom 2-1, to secure their first three points of the season

The Yenagoa side came to the match day four of the Nigeria National League, NNL with the hope of securing their first victory of the season following two previous disappointing results against Nnewi United and Warri Wolves.

The first two clear opportunities for Bayelsa United came the way of midfielder, Bob-Duba Phillip but his efforts went wide.

At 42 minutes, a blunder by the visitor’s goalkeeper gave Alex Ayowah the opening to score the first goal of the match.

A Bayelsa-born attacker, Israel Consul in the colours of FC One Rocket got the consolatory goal for the visitors during additional time to rap up the game 2-1 in favour of Bayelsa United.
