The wife of Nigeria’s president, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has called on Nigerians to be patient with the current administration of Bola Tinubu while acknowledging the present hardship in the country.
The first lady was speaking in Kano where the faculty building of Mariam Abacha American University Of Nigeria Kano was named after her.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu says she feels pained and heart broken seeing women and children protesting across Nigeria over hunger resulting from the fuel subsidy removal, but added that the gains of the policy is for future generations .
According to the president’s wife, education is the greatest weapon needed to fight ignorance, poverty and crimes, hence a call for all to patner government in developing the sector.

Oluremi Tinubu announced a fifty million endowment fund for the best graduating female student in the university.
The first lady was accompanied to the event by Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, wives of some state governors, wives of serving and former ministers, Deputy senate President, Jibrin Barau, serving members of the House of Representatives and spouses of heads of serving chiefs and security agencies.
