The Benin Traditional Council has cautioned against protests planned to hold in Benin City on Monday.
Some Youths had planned what they termed as a solidarity gathering over the arrest and detention of the Secretary of the Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor and some chiefs in Benin Kingdom.

The Palace Secretary was remanded in prison last week over his purported role in the demolition of several houses in Ulegun Community at Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the Oba’s Palace, Osaigbovo Iguobaro said the Palace does not want such a gathering at this time and consequently directed that the organisers cancel the demonstration, adding that the issue in question that led to the arrest is being resolved.
