The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has promised to build on the legacies of his predecessors to impact on the lives of citizens as the State marks its 46th anniversary.
Governor Ortom who stated this at the thanksgiving service to commemorate the day said although the State has passed through several challenges over the years, there is still every reason to be grateful.
He called for unity of purpose for greater development.

Earlier in his sermon former executive secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, Tor Uja encouraged Benue sons to learn to speak up and be a voice like the executive Governor.
Although there are many more rivers to cross and mountains to climb most citizens as well as residents remain optimistic that the goals of its founding fathers will be achieved someday.
