Local Government administrators have been tasked to redeem the lost glory of the third tier of Government by working round the clock to ensure the comfort of the people at the grassroot.
Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia made the call during a 2-day workshop for local Government administrators in Makurdi the state capital.
Those who attended the workshop were the 8-man interim committees of local councils, councillors, treasurers,as well as director general services and administration DGSA’s across the 23 local government areas in the State
While Declaring the workshop open State Governor Hyacinth Alia urged the administrators to pay close attention to the people and ensure strict adherence to administrative processes to enable the local government regain its lost glory being the closest to the grassroot.

Earlier special adviser bureau for local government and Chieftancy affairs Dennis Akura says the workshop is designed to stabilise administration at the third tier of Government in line with the Alia-led administrative framework.
The 2-day workshop has the theme, responsive local government leadership workshop for effective local government administration in the State.
