The Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed optimism that the new President of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Benue State Daniel Okoh will provide the much desired support for Christians across the country who have suffered ceaseless attacks and marginalization.
Governor Ortom who stated this at a command performance in honour of the new CAN president at the Government house in Makurdi the state capital reiterated the commitment of his administration to sustaining the unity of the body of Christ.
This cocktail and command performance in honour of the newly inaugurated president of the Christian association of Nigeria CAN Benue took place at the Government house Makurdi at the instance of the State Governor Samuel Ortom.
A gesture deeply appreciated by the CAN president who equally appreciated other supports made by the chief executive of the State and prayed God to reward him for the huge sacrifices made.
While congratulating Okoh on his installation as CAN president Governor Samuel Ortom acknowledged that the prayers of the church have sustained the State in the midst of its numerous challenges.
In his closing remarks CAN chairman Benue State Akpen Leva said he was honoured by the christian leaders’ visit and the ceaseless support he received from his host Governor.
