Displaced persons in 7 out of the 13 council wards of Gwer West local government area of Benue State are gradually returning to their ancestral homes after ten since their displacement.
Paramount leader of the area the Ter Nagi, Daniel Abomtse and other returnees appreciated the State Government for boosting security for it to be achieved and want the move sustained.
The troubled farming communities of Gwer west local government area of the State had been on the run for fear of attacks for several years.
In Anguhar community, Injaha and Gbangetongo wards the situation is getting better because the internally displaced who had fled are gradually returning to their ancestral homes.
Other council wards like mbacholom and Mbachoho are part of the 7 out of 13 council wards previously sacked by suspected herders.
Their return to their very remote communities with basically nothing has, however, thrown up other concerns, which the State Government says it will address.
Internal displacement became the norm since 13 years ago following persistent attacks, which led to the brutal murder of several indegenes of Gwer West local council including the elderly, children and women.
