A federal high court sitting in Lagos, Friday, sentenced controversial cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky, to six months imprisonment without an option of fine for abuse of the naira.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro who delivered the judgement said it would serve as a deterrent to others found guilty of abusing the naira, adding that the jail term would run from March twenty fourth, twenty twenty four.
The convict who admitted to being a man before he was sentenced had on the last sitting pleaded guilty to a four count charge bordering on abuse of the naira.
Okuneye was arrested on Wednesday, April 3, twenty twenty four by the EFCC for spraying and abusing the naira and failure to declare activities of the company, Bob Express to the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering.
