Days after Boko Haram struck in Michika and Madagali Local Government Areas of Adamawa State, North-East Nigeria, the traumatised residents say they are still at the mercy of the terrorists.
They opened up on their fears when the Adamawa State Governor, represented by his deputy, Crowther Seth led a delegation on an on-the spot assessment of the areas affected by Boko Haram in the failed attack.

In Michika, the residents pleaded for additional military men in the area, to block the hideouts of the insurgents who usually attack their communities in search of food and other basic items.
The Deputy Governor while addressing the people restated the administration’s commitment to protect the lives and property of citizens.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Umar Garba Pella, who was also on the delegation, commended the military, local hunters and vigilantes, for their resistance, which resulted in the successful repel of the attack.
The District Head of Michika, Gigida Kwache, lauded the prompt response of the State Government to their plight.
He however expressed the community’s concern over the abduction of the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in Michika Local Government Area .
A new video released by Boko Haram shows the cleric calling on loved ones to have faith that he will regain his freedom.
He appeals to officials of his church to liaise with the State Government and other authorities, to ensure his release.
