One of the leading traditional rulers in Borno State, the Shehu of Bama, Kyari Ibn Umar Elkanemi, is dead.
He died at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital on Monday.
State Commissioner of Information, Abba Jator told newsmen in Maiduguri, the state capital that the Shehu of Bama whose domain is one of the communities worst hit by Boko Haram terrorists died of stroke.

He is to be buried on Tuesday according to Islamic rites.
