As states across Nigeria enforce the No Mask No Movement Order, the Lagos State Government has ordered one million nose masks from the Cross River State Garment Factory in Calabar.
Governor Ben Ayade made this known while speaking to newsmen at the factory on Monday, explaining that the Kano State Government has also placed an order of 100 masks.
Ayade however promised to donate 50,000 free masks each to Lagos and Kano States while delivering their orders. Cross River State will also donate free masks to nieghbouring Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Abia and Benue States.

The Governor also said the State will donate 50,000 pieces of the masks to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
Governor Ayade introduced the No Mask No Movement order with local fabrics amid condemnations by many critics, but every state in Nigeria and beyond are now adopting the measure as a means to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
