They were said to have been suspended for anti-party activities.
Their suspension was announced at a Press Conference at the Borno State PDP Secretariat, along Lagos Street in Maiduguri by Alhaji Yusuf Dikko, the State Secretary.
He explained that the move became necessary, due to the duo’s refusal to obey court orders, as well as their role in destabilizing the party at the state level.
He pointed out that even after the Supreme Court gave judgment in favour of Usman Baderi as PDP Borno State party Chairman in March this year, Imam and Gadama have refused to cooperate with the authentic leadership of the party.
The State PDP Secretary further clarified that following a series of complaints from the suspended persons’ Wards and Local Government Chapters of the party, the stakeholders decided to suspend them.
Yusuf Dikko, however, said that the party’s doors are still open for the suspended party members if they show remorse.
