The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 196 new Coronavirus cases in the country.

Yobe State in North-East Nigeria has recorded its first positive case of the Coronavirus pandemic. This brings the total number of states affected in the country to 35 including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Only the 2 states of Cross River and Kogi are now yet to record any Coronavirus case in Nigeria.
The 196 new infections include 87 in Lagos, 24 in Kano, 18 in Gombe and 17 in Kaduna States.
There are also 16 new cases in FCT, 10 in Katsina, 8 in Sokoto, 7 in Edo, 6 in Borno and 1 each in Yobe, Ebonyi and Adamawa States.
Meanwhile, 52 Coronavirus patients have been discharged across the country with the number of successfully treated cases now 307
The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Nigeria is now 1,728 with 7 new fatalities bringing the death toll to 51.
