The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the Governorship candidate, of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, winner of the Kano State Governorship election.
Kabir-Yusuf was returned elected with 1,019,602 votes as he defeats Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, APC who polled 890,602 votes.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Government has imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew to prevent breakdown of law and order following tension generated over collation and declaration of the Governorship and House of Assembly election results.
