The Federal Government has approved the resumption of academic activities in all classes of federal unity schools on October 12.
Education Minister, Adamu Adamu who gave the directive in Abuja says the Covid-19 curve has been flattened in Nigeria.
The Minister says states are at liberty to fix resumption dates for schools under their control and supervision.
Adamu in July this year strongly opposed the reopening of schools for students in exit classes to write their final year examination conducted by West African Examinations Council, WAEC.
The Education Minister did not however announce dates for reopening of tertiary institutions in the country.
He has directed regulatory agencies like the National Universities Commission, NUC to begin to workout modalities for resumption of academic activities.
