We had earlier reported that the former Chief of Staff in Imo State and 2019 Governorship Candidate, Uche Nwosu, has been kidnapped by gunmen at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama-Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area.
The incident occured during the Outing Service of the victim’s mother, late Jemamah Nwosu.
Nwosu who is also married to the daughter of his boss and former Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha was in the village for the burial last weekend.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen stormed the church while service was still on and shot into the air.
They thereafter bundled Nwosu into the boot of a waiting vehicle and drove off to an unknown destination.
