Players and officials of the famous Imo state team Heartland FC Owerri, have threatened to protest their non-payment of their salaries and allowances.
They say things are not going well for them because the Imo state government is owing them six months salaries.
The Heartland Players and officials said that the Covid-19 lockdown affected their families terribly and there was nothing like palliatives to fall back on.
They then appealled to the new Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma to come to their aid by making their salaries a top priority.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has been suspended since March 2020 with Heartland Football club sitting 13th on the log with 32 points after 25 matches.
