The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has uncovered another alleged fake agency operating within the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF.
The agency, identified as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, was allegedly allocated office space within the OSGF premises without authorisation from the President.
ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, disclosed this on Friday while briefing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on the commission’s ongoing investigation into the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, and weaknesses in government processes.
Aliyu said the discovery was made in the course of the broader investigation ordered by President Bola Tinubu into the activities of the fake PFIPC and related procedural weaknesses within the public service.
According to the ICPC Chairman, the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office was promoted by Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, who allegedly operated under several variations of his name.
The commission said the alleged fake office was active with the involvement of suspected collaborators within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Aliyu said the ICPC had interacted with the OSGF to obtain vital information concerning the office and had comprehensively briefed President Tinubu on the latest findings.

Following the briefing, President Tinubu directed the immediate arrest of Prince George Buchi Nwabueze.
The President also ordered the immediate suspension of three permanent secretaries identified as M.S. Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.
The ICPC Chairman said the investigation would continue, stressing that the commission would take further steps as more facts emerge.
Aliyu also commended President Tinubu for directing the forensic audit of government processes, describing the initiative as a proactive measure towards strengthening the governance system and preventing similar abuses within the public service.
