Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo has resigned from office.
His decision to leave office comes about one week after the State House of Assembly initiated impeachment proceedings against him.

The impeachment proceedings though for alleged acts of misconduct have been directly linked to his refusal to defect from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP to the All Progressives Congress, APC along with Governor Abba Yusuf.
