The pre-trial hearing in case of alleged organ harvesting involving former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice will no longer hold on Monday, October 31, 2022. The case will come up at a later date that will be communicated to the parties.
Ekweremadu and his wife were expected to formally enter their plea on Monday, following the last hearing in August. AIT.live however learnt that the judge hearing the case at the Old Baileys Criminal Court was away on holiday.
The Ekweremadus are accused of breaching the Modern Slavery Act of the United Kingdom which was passed in 2015.

The couple were arrested in June after one David Ukpo Nwamini, presented himself to British police that he was brought to the UK to donate his kidney to Ekweremadu’s sick daughter who needed a transplant
