British-Nigerian Designer/Artist Olalolu Akeredolu-Ale Designs FA Cup

A 23-year-old British-Nigerian skilled designer and artist Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale popularly called Olaolu Slawn has created the FA CUP trophy ahead of Saturday May 25th 2024 FA CUP final to be held at the Wembley Stadium London England.

The English Football Association had reached out to the 23-year-old and asked that he designs a unique one-off trophy ahead of Saturday’s match; which he created alongside Thomas Lyte; a renowned goldsmiths and silversmiths.

This followed Olalolu Slawn’s feat in 2023 to become the youngest person to design the Britannia statue for the annual BRIT awards.

The artist took to his “X handle @olaoluslawn to share pictures of the work with the caption

“Biggest thing I’ve done yet. My tribute to the FA Cup trophy. Slawn and #ThomasLyte. Thank you #EmiratesFACup. Amen.”
