President Muhammadu Buhari has met with Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal and his Kebbi State counterpart, Atiku Bagudu at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
The Central Bank Governor Godwin Emiefele also attended the meeting.
A scheduled meeting between the President and the Nigerian Governors Forum was cancelled for no official reasons.
A source told our correspondent that the actions by some states to sue the government were responsible for the cancellation.
It added that the governors had come to meet the President over the cash crunch in the country.

President Buhari had on February 3 met with the governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where some of the governors asked that the President intervene to allow both the old and new notes co-circulate to ease the cash crunch.
None of those who attended the meeting spoke to journalists.
