President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal and his Kebbi State counterpart, Atiku Bagudu at the Presidential Villa Abuja. Tambuwal is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’Forum and the PDP Governors Forum while Bagudu chairs the Progressives Governors Forum.
The Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emiefele also attended the meeting including the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Although a scheduled meeting between the President and the Nigerian Governors Forum was earlier canceled with no official reasons.

But a source told AIT.live that the actions by some states to sue the Federal Government were responsible for the cancellation. It added that the Governors had come to meet the President over the cash crunch in the country.
President Buhari had on February 3 met with the Governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC and some of the Governors asked that the President intervenes to allow both the old and new notes co-circulate to ease the cash crunch.
None of those who attended the meeting spoke to correspondents.
