Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has sworn in nine new permanent secretaries.
This is sequel to a presidential order in October 2019, directing the Head of Service to appoint one permanent secretary from the six-geo political zones as well as the replacement of the three that had earlier retired.
The inauguration preceded the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting and had members of cabinet as well as guests of the new officials in attendance.
Those sworn in include Hassan Musa (Borno), Aliyu Ahmed (Niger), Olushola Olayinka Idowu (Ogun), David Adejo Andrew (Kogi) representing North Central and Umar Idris Tijani (Bauchi) representing North East zone.
Others are Sani Gwazo (Kano) representing North West, Nebolisa Anako (Anambra) representing South East, Temitope Fashedemi (Ondo) representing South West and Eveyln Ingige (Delta) representing South South.
President Buhari did not deliver any address after the signing of the inauguration register.
