The joint operations by the marine police and Naval personnel have rescued three more persons involved in Saturday boat mishap along Calabar River.
With the latest,the total number of rescued victims now stand at Fourteen, while the joint operations are still in search of the remaining three.
Police Public Relations officers in Cross River State, Irene Ugbo who confirmed the number of the rescued victims, said the detachment of the newly equip marine unit of the Nigeria Police joined the Nigerian Navy in the operations.
Ugbo, however denied that three of the victims died during the mishap,saying the joint rescue efforts are ongoing till this hour.
Seventeen medical students were on-board a commercial speed boat which capsized along Calabar Channel Saturday afternoon.

The students, went to the popular Marina Resort to have fun as part of activities to mark their social week.
The joint operations according to the PPRO is ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
