Ossai explained that based on the clauses surrounding the Chinese loans agreement, the federal ministries of Finance, Justice, Communications and other relevant key players would be needed to aid the Lawmakers probe.
The Committee argued that the National Assembly which is the arm of Government responsible for appropriation had been kept in the dark on how most of these Chinese loans are collected and utilised.
The motion which was brought up at Plenary before the Committee’s Hearing Commenced had explained that there is widespread global concern about the fraudulent, irregular and underhand characteristics of the Chinese loan contracts with the African states.
