Nigerians have been admonished not to hide behind the guise of religion to create problems capable of destabilizing the country.
This was the thrust of discussion at a one day conference in Kaduna, by the Northern Christian Youth Association of Nigeria, on religious tolerance.

Apart from ethno- religious crises, the conference identified youth unemployment and insecurity as leading factors hindering the progress of the country.
Speakers agreed that Nigerian youths must find a common ground to work together for the unity of the country despite their ethnic and religious
differences.
They further called on youths in the country to embrace dialogue as a panacea to achieving national cohesion.
This was as a group of youths under the aegis of “Concerned Youth from The Northwest” called on the State governors to adopt a common security strategy to tackle banditry in the zone and warning against polarizing security issues as it could be a major threat to the next general elections.
