The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), has apprehended an impostor who has been parading himself as a gynaecologist working with the Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau.
The Corps Public Relations Officer, Ikor Oche, who paraded the suspect, identified as Muhammad Naziru Mode, also known as Doctor IBB, said the suspect was arrested following credible intelligence and tip-offs.
26-year-old”Dr IBB” is said to have visited the hospital daily from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., to attend to vulnerable patients, mainly female in the gynaecological ward.
The suspect was said to have taken advantage of the women’s ill health, claiming to be a medical doctor and allegedly carrying out medical proceedings and examinations on the unsuspecting patients.

Muhammad Naziru Mode, confessed to committing the crime and admitted that whenever he has a complicated case, he refers it to any doctor on call, introducing himself as Doctor IBB.
The Zamfara State Civil Defence Corps Commandant Sani Mustapha said the suspect will be charged in court immediately the investigation is concluded.
