The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Audi has called on officers and men of the corps to develop their capacity in Information and Communication Technology describing it as important in modern-day security management and operations.
The Commandant General who said this in Lokoja through his representative at the commemoration of the 2023 International Civil Defence Day said, the welfare of staff remains his priority.
The event also featured a five-kilometer endurance walk to designed to keep officers physically fit.

The international day of Civil Defence organizations and Civil Defence Corps is observed every year on March 1st to raise public awareness about the importance of civil protection and educate the public on the risks of disasters and emergencies.
