Civil Defence Corps in Oyo arrest 4 over property vandalism, theft

Four men between the ages of 24 and 29 years are currently are telling the Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC what they know about recent vandalizing of public property in the state.

Addressing journalists, after parading the suspects at the NSCDC state headquarters in Ibadan, public relations officer ,Oyindamola Okuneye said the Command will not relent in its fight against crime and criminality in the state.

26 year old Joseph Godwin from Anambra State and his accomplice were arrested around Ile- tuntun area of Ibadan for vandalizing cables belonging to the state government.


Similarly, 24 year old Opeyemi Anuoluwapo was arrested for tricycle theft in Oje area of the Oyo state capital
The suspects confessed to their crime.


Okuneye said Oyo state is the wrong destination for public property vandals as the Civil Defence Corps in the war is waging an all-out war against them.
