The construction of a 5,000-housing units estate in Taraba State is expected to address the challenge of housing deficit, among civil servants in the State.
Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku assured that the project will be completed before the end of his tenure.
Even before completion, the 5,000-housing units estate, popularly known as the DDI Gardens, is already talk of the town in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
The housing scheme targets the welfare of civil servants in the State with the provision of comfortable and affordable shelter.

The scheme comes with a soft mode of payment that will ease their retirement plans.
Governor Darius Ishaku visited the site preparatory to the commissioning.
The Housing Estate which is located in the suburb of Jalingo, the state capital, is equipped with ifacilities such as a mini-market, water supply and police security post.
The first phase of the DDI Housing Estate is expected to be commissioned in March.
