Media mogul and CNN founder, Ted Turner, has died at the age of 87.
Turner, who launched CNN in 1980 as the world’s first 24-hour television news network, transformed global broadcasting and reshaped the way breaking news is reported.
Beyond broadcasting, he was widely known for his philanthropy, environmental advocacy, and contributions to sports and media development.
According to a statement from Turner Enterprises, he died peacefully surrounded by family members.
