The Katsina State chapter of the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, has called for an urgent and everlasting solution to the worsening security situation in the country.
In a statement by the Katsina State coordinator of the CNG, Habibu Ruma, the coalition has carefully monitored with concern the way terrorists have had a field day terrorising, killing, and kidnapping people different parts of the state, particularly in Kankia, Batsari, Musawa, and Jibiya Local Governments.
It called on Governor Dikko Radda to something urgent about the escalating insecurity.

The coalition further suggested reviewing the recent curfew imposed on the state, as past curfews did not yield significant results, negatively impacted the economy of the night market and traders and also created an avenue for security agencies to extort money from residents.
The group said it was probably time to invite key stakeholders in the state to table, discuss and come up with a way out of the problem
