The contributions of the late wife of former Director General of the DSS, Temitope Ekpeyong Ita in education and sports development continues to wax strong, three years after her demise with her memory immortalized with a Sports House at Edgerly Memorial Girls Secondary School, Calabar.
The Principal of the college, Iquo Oboko-Oku described late Temitope Ekpeyong Ita as a Philanthropist who supported many young girls whose parent could not afford their education up to university level.

She said apart from sponsoring an annual sports event; her foundation has trained over four hundred students in Cross River Southern Senatorial District on scholarships over the years.
She called on other well meaning Nigerians to follow in the footstep of late Temitope Ekpeyong Ita who she said lived a purposeful life.
Highpoint of the event was the donation of ten computers by the Temitope Ekpenyong Ita Foundation to Edgerly Memorial Girls Secondary School, Calabar.
