Confusion has trailed the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial re-run primary election for Zamfara North, following the emergence of two conflicting results, with different returning officers announcing separate outcomes.
The development comes after the Court of Appeal ordered a re-run of the APC senatorial primary, which was scheduled for November 2, 2026.
Journalists, however, were unable to monitor the conduct of the exercise, as the election failed to commence at the scheduled time.

Subsequently, two separate video recordings showing individuals identified as returning officers announcing different results were submitted to the leadership of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Zamfara State Council, by party officials as the purported outcomes of the re-run primary.
