Controversy has continued to trail the Benue State Coronavirus index case.
The 62-year old Nigerian-British citizen had taken to her social media handle insisting that she did not have the infectious disease.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, however, intervened by sending its Professor of Public Health, Stephen Abah to set the records straight.
To say that the social media space in Benue State has been awash with refutals, contradictions, blame trading and complete tribal war since Saturday’s report of its index case is to put it mildly.
The NCDC which is the authorised body that handles such test had to wade in to still the storm.
Other contentious issues still came up such as what happens to the private clinic which attended to the said patient when it is not a designated treatment centre.
More worrisome was yet another concern that the index case took part in other engagements before her admission.
The pressure is certainly on not just in Benue State but across the entire globe which is trying desperately to overcome this degenerating health challenge.
