The European football federation, UEFA is holding an emergency meeting with representatives of European clubs, leagues and international federations amidst the disruption of the 2019/2020 season in major european football leagues due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting is also to decide whether uefa euro 2020 which is to be hosted in 12 european countries, some on which are battling the coronavirus pandemic will proceed as scheduled.

The championship was fixed to run from the 12th of june till the 12th of july 2020.
Most football leagues were expected to round off the season in may to give the players an early break before joining their national teams ahead of international duty at the competition.
