The convener of #RevolutionNow and Publisher of Sahara reporters, Omoyele Sowore, and 4 others have been ordered to be remanded in Kuje correctional Center pending the determination of their bail application.
Magistrate, Mabel Bello gave the order after Sowore and others were arraigned before her Court in Abuja, on Monday on a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.
They pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The activists were earlier arrested for holding a protest against bad governance on New Year’s Eve in Abuja .
Sowore had before his arrest sent out a series of tweets calling on Nigerians to join him on a protest against President Muhammadu Buhari.

The matter has been adjourned to January 5 for the bail application to be heard.
