Justice Gegele in his ruling, declared the appointment of the 16 Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) chairmen by the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as illegal ordering him to conduct fresh elections into all the 16 local government councils.

Counsel for the Elite Network for Sustainable Development (ENETSUD), Lukman Raji and the State Vice- Chairman of (ENETSUD) in the State, Lanre Osho described the development as victory for democracy and the people of the state.

The Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENETSUD) months ago, dragged the state Government to Court over what they term illegal appointments of persons into a Transition implementation committee to administer the affairs of the local governments, a committee the group say is unknown to the law.
