Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has taken the COVID-19 booster dose in the presence of many residents of the state in order to encouraged those who are yet to be vaccinated .
The Governor took the booster at the flagging off ceremony of the ongoing mass vaccination exercise at aleshinloye market in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
The mass vaccination campaign is aimed at reducing the effect of COVID-19 and it’s new variant Omicron.
The Commissioner of health, Taiwo Ladipo says the ongoing mass vaccination campaign is aimed at reducing the mortality rate in the State.

Some health stakeholders at the event encouraged the people to take the vaccine to stay healthy.
The event was graced by government officials, traditional rulers, health workers as well as market women and men.
