The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has again condemned the serving governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Finitiri, for violating public health protocols on COVID -9 at the Port Harcourt Airport.

The FAAN said it condemns the conduct of Fintiri, who arrived Port Harcourt Airport on July 14th 2020 with eight others and flagrantly refused to observe the security and public health protocols as directed by the federal government. as he refused to have his temperature checked or being sanitized by the health officials.

The Agency noted that his entourage did exactly as the governor did as the team that came to receive them drove through the barricades up to the terminal building ignoring traffic and aviation security instructions.

The FAAN expresses dismay stating that the alleged act of irresponsibility displayed by the governor and his entourage endangers the lives of all other airport users and it is unacceptable.

The Agency again cautioned airport users especially VIPs on the need to adhere to the protocols and procedures of COVID-19, so as not to endanger others.

Recall that a former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, had last weekend at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano violated public health procedure on COVID-19.
