Cross River State Government is targeting seven million Euros annual income from Irish potatoe export to the European Countries from the Obudu Commercial Irish potatoe Farming.
Governor Ben Ayade made this known while inspecting the three thousand hectares of Irish potatoes farm established by the Cross River State Government on top the mountainous hills of Obudu.
Ayade said Cross River will champion the policy of isolationism for Nigeria to close its borders against agricultural products that can be produced in the Country.

The Governor promised that the annual production of Irish potatoes from the Obudu ranch resort will be increasing every year as Government is giving it the desired political will with the participation of the private sector.
There is growing demand for Irish Potatoe in Nigeria and other parts of Africa with large potentials at the international market,an opportunity Ayade said Cross River will tap into in order to generate income due to the cool weather on the hills of obudu.
