Cross River State Government has called on critical stakeholders including the Civil Society , the Media as well as financial players to periodically interrogate its 2022 budge to ensure it meets desirable projections.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget ,Otu-Otu Ita made the call during at a one day stakeholders Budget Implementation Workshop in Càlabar on Monday.
Ita said in line with the transparency indicators, it is
the desire of his office to ensure that the 2022 budget implementation is thoroughly monitored and interrogated for optimal performance.

The budget adviser said despite the challenges of 2021, the performance was above average.
He expressed hope that the budget for 2022 will be even better due to the tracking mechanism put in place.
Governor, Ben Ayade had assented to the N354 billion budget of conjugated agglutination for the 2022 fiscal year, a development his adviser said will be properly tracked through relevant Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
