The Cross River State House of Assembly says the twenty-six Commissioners nominees from the Governor, have been referred to the house committee on judiciary for screening.
Speaker of the Assembly, Elvert Ayambem stated this after the house deliberated on the list.
Ayambem, said reducing the cabinet to twenty-six from forty was a realistic and prudent way of running government for the well-being of the people of Cross River State.

The Speaker called on the citizens to be part of the screening exercise which is open to participation.
Governor Bassey Otu had sent twenty six names of Commissioner nominees to the Assembly on Thursday evening to meet the constitutional required deadline.
