The Cross River State Government says the state’s rice production has increased by fifty per cent due to high demands from the South-South and South-East states and neighbouring Cameroon, following the takeoff of the Ogoja Vitamnized Rice Mill.
Commissioner for Commerce, Rosemary Archibong said this in Calabar, while representing Governor Ben Ayade at an advocacy visit to government ministries, departments and agencies on the need to patronise made in Cross Ogoja River Rice during the Yuletide.

She said Ogoja Rice can compete with similar rice brands in Africa, adding that the Rice is affordable with premium quality.
She advised Cross River women and youths to form cooperative societies to begin profit-making businesses in the state.
