The National Youth Service NYSC Scheme in Cross River State is to provide health support services to the rural population of the hard-to-reach communities in the one hundred and ninety six council Wards of the state.
The health Support initiative is in line with the Scheme Social Service plans for the rural dwellers.
Cross River State Coordinator of NYSC, Andrew Zemo,made this known in Obubra,during the swearing-in of the 2022 Batch A Stream 1 of the scheme,saying , Community connect of the scheme in the State will be more robust than ever.

The health initiative for rural dwellers, he says is aimed at providing easier access to free and qualitative health care services for the People of Cross River State.
Over One thousand seven hundred newly sworn in Corps Members, according to the State Coordinator will be posted more to the rural communities where their services will be needed more.
